Google AdWords is only worth it if your ads receive genuine clicks from customers.
Unfortunately, in the PPC world, a lot of clicks are often fraudulent, and many users often have no intention of ever buying your product or service.
My Google Ad, Jan 20, 2021, showed up in "Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan", Why? (Lahore is the capital of the Pakistani province of Punjab and is the country's 2nd largest city after Karachi, as well as the 26th largest city in the world. Lahore is one of Pakistan's wealthiest cities with an estimated GDP of $65.14 billion as of 2017).
For my cities I ONLY entered: Beaverton, Canby, Cornelius, Dundee, Forest Grove, Gaston, Hillsboro, Lake Oswego, Newberg, Sherwood, Tualatin, Wilsonville, Aloha, Tigard, Oregon.
I logged in a few minutes later and now I see, Oregon City, Portland, Tigard.
What happened to Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan! I think Lahore is the place where someone clicked on my Ad because I think Google is paying local businesses money to search ads on Google and click on them so Google can make money.
A lot of these users are from Google. Yes! Google pays small businesses in other countries to click on google ads.
Remember, Google ONLY gets money if someone clicks on their link.
So how many of you have clicked on a Google Ad link? Not to many I'm sure of this.
If someone clicks on your business google ad, you still have to pay Google, regardless if a sale was made or not. In other words, Google AdWords potentially isn’t worth the investment because the bids that you are paying for are lower than the revenue that you’re receiving from each visitor.
As of Jan 15, 2021, Google has suspended my business listing because of this post.
